Have you ever wondered what love is, I mean what it really means? Not just the superficial part, you know, having a partner and kissing and caring for each other. I know I love somebody, because t
Love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachment. In philosophical context, love is a virtue representation of human kindness, compassion, and affection; and "the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another"
Love is central to many religions, as in the Christian phrase, "God is love" or Agape in the Canonical gospels. Love may also be described as actions towards others (or oneself) based on compassion, or as actions towards others based on affection.
In English, love refers to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from pleasure ("I loved that meal") to interpersonal attraction ("I love my partner"). "Love" may refer specifically to the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love, to the sexual love of eros, to the emotional closeness of familial love, or the platonic love that defines friendship, to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.
Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.
Love may be understood as part of the survival instinct, a function keep human beings together against menaces and to facilitate the continuation of the species.
Some people even love themselves, it is a funny concept and those that really do love themselves will never in a million years actually admit to loving themselves. It is called vanity, you know the kind of people that cannot pass a mirror without looking at themselves and fixing their hair or something. The kind of people that when somebody says," Oh you look so beautiful today". Instead of saying thank you, they will say I know.
Anyway, back to the topic of Love, Everybody has somebody that they love, be it their dog, or any pet for that matter. It could be your family, i.e. Your beloved mother, or you boyfriend/girlfriend/ fiancé/ husband or wife. We can see love, and we sure can feel it. As a matter of fact, my boyfriend and I often electrocute each other, we will be going to hold hands and a spark with occur, it is quite unpleasant but so funny, we often say we definitely have that connection with each other, we make fireworks.
I want to talk about the different places that you can see love.
One is probably quite common, The airport. Yes many movies have shown this, Love actually, and dogma are just two of them, but next time you are at an airport watch out for the love, it is quite amazing. The arrivals are full of the joyful love, they are so excited to see their loved ones that they have missed and now they count down the seconds till they get to have them in their arms.
Departures is a bit harder to actually see the love because there are quite a few tears, but they are not painful tears, they are tears of love, because they don't want to say goodbye to the person that is leaving. If they didn't love each other, then they wouldn't be sad. Sadness is often mistaken for something else, when often is love.
Sometimes when somebody expresses anger towards us, we mistaken it for dislike, when in actual fact it is love. I know that my father would sometimes get really mad, but it was not that he was mad at me, he just loved me so much and was more mad at the situation that had happened than at me. Sometimes people will tease each other as a sign of affection, I know it is weird, but it is true.
Love is something that everybody has experienced, it is something that can bring the greatest joy we have every felt, and it is also something that can cause the greatest pain ever. Our hearts are like a beautiful crystal vase, once it is broken, you might be able to glue the pieces back together, but there will always be the cracks to show were it was once broken.
