It is really easy to just take a quick peak down my blouse and declare, " Yes I am indeed female!" But what really makes a woman a woman. I have put together a list of the things I think make me a woman.
1) I Love fashion, so much, and yes some may say that, that doesn't make you a woman, well I say for me it does, I have never met a 100% straight guy that gets so excited over a pair of shoes or a G&B Bag like a girl does. A real woman will love to spend hours in a mall just shopping.
2) I love chocolate, anything chocolate. I think all girls just cannot resist that dark little piece of temptation. When we are down and just want to relax a piece of lint 80% dark chocolate is just what we need.
3) Once a month, the inner bitch in all of us will come out, and we become ratty, moody and super sensitive. At this stage nobody can predict what we will do, if we are going to burst into tears because Nemo lost his Dad, or if we are going to be in a bad mood all day because somebody finished all the milk and didn't replace it. But this is one of the things that make us woman, and if you cannot handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best.
4) We have the right to take half an hour or more if needed, to get ready, be it for work or for a dinner date. If you want your girlfriend or wife to look as good as she did when you first met her, let her take her time, Rome wasn't built in a day. I know I take 30 minutes and sometimes longer to get ready.
5) We are allowed more than one handbag, they are pretty and are more like a fashion accessory. Sometime we just want a small clutch bag and sometime we want big bag that could fit the kitchen sink in. But this is something that makes me and other girls a woman, if we used a moon bag, I think most guys would wonder what was wrong with us.
6) We love to be spoilt, buy us flowers, chocolates or just buy us dinner, we will be so happy, not because we are spoilt brats, but because we just love to know that we are cared about and loved, the little things count.
7) We work hard, and after a very long week, we would like to catch up with our television programs, we don't ask for much, but it would mean a lot if you wouldn't mock it or talk loudly over it. We put up with a lot from men and all we ask is let us watch 90210 in peace. Bring us a cup of coffee. that would shock us.
8) After a crappy day at work we will still slave over a hot stove, to prepare a meal for the man we love, because we know that even though our day was not the best, your day was probably not any better, and instead of taking out all out anger on you, we sip on a glass of wine and serve you up the best grub in town.
9) We will choose what our man wants over what we want, if he really want to watch the latest action movie we will watch that with him over watching the latest romance.We are kind and sweet but do not take advantage of this, because we can be mean if we really want to be. And then you will have to do more than buy us chocolates and shoes to get forgiveness.
10) We are maternal, and will always want to look after something, so let us, if you are sick let us take care of you, let us make you lunch. Do not say that it is a bother. Being maternal is a womanly thing, it is why we have children. We also like to feel needed. So don't make us feel like we can't do anything, even if we just set the table or salt the chicken for the braai. It will make us feel like we did something right.
11) We love to look good, so let us exercise, you will like the results, so don't make us feel bad for being late for dinner. We want to exercise so let us. Be grateful that we do not look like shamoo. We will never be happy with our bodies so accept it and just say you are beautiful always.
We are woman, we are wonderful and will love with all our heart.
